We want to make your musical learning experience fun, individualized, and affordable. We offer half hour and hour lessons. Lesson rates are determined by the instrument, amount of people in the same household taking lessons, and the amount of lessons you are taking. If you are a go-getter and want to take all three, we are more than happy to discuss discounts to make sure you get the music education you want! If you are interested in lessons, please click on our Availability button above to check to see if any of our open slots work for your schedule! FAQ
Q: What materials do I need to begin lessons?

A: You will need a keyboard (either electric or acoustic) or an acoustic guitar depending on what instrument you are learning. Ideally, we would recommend a full sized keyboard (88 keys) and would love for it to be weighted. We know, however, that keyboards can be expensive, so if you can't find a full sized keyboard, anything 66 keys or larger would be perfect. For guitars, depending on the age of the student, they may need a full sized or smaller. Guitars come in all sizes, so we would discuss what the perfect size would be for your student. The only other material you will need is a small notebook so we can write down what you will need to practice each week. We will provide all lesson books and you pay us back.

Q: At what age do you start teaching students?

We begin teaching students for guitar and piano when they are in kindergarten or older. For voice students, we do encourage students to be in middle school or older.

Q: How often do I need to practice/have my student practice?

This depends on the student's age and ability. We do offer a practice expectations/recommendations page when you begin lessons so you can keep track of what is the right amount for each age/level. In general, we recommend incorporating music into your every day life as much as possible and practicing on your instrument often. This helps you build your musical skills and abilities quicker.

Q: What all do you cover in your lessons?

We cover a variety of musical ideas and concepts depending on level. For all instruments, we incorporate orienting ourselves to our instrument (knowing how to properly use our instrument, where high/middle/low is, etc), rhythm, ear training, sight-reading, note reading, and technique into all lessons.
Q: Do you do recitals or competitions?

Yes! Currently, we only offer recitals for piano students. These are typically held in December (Winter/Christmas recital), and in May (Spring recital). We do not enroll students in competitions unless they wish to pursue one.
